Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your engagement of Rapid Showerscreens (“we”, “us”, “our”) for shower screen supply, installation, and replacement services. By accepting a quote or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)).

2. Our Services
We provide the following services:
- Supply and installation of custom shower screens including frameless, semi-frameless, sliding door, fixed panel, over bath, and reeded shower screens
- Shower screen replacement including removal of existing screens and installation of new screens
- Professional installation of shower screens purchased by the client from third-party suppliers
- Commercial shower screen installations for hotels, gyms, aged care facilities, apartment buildings, and other commercial properties
All services are subject to a free on-site measure and quote. We will not commence any work until a quote has been accepted by you.
3. Quotes and Pricing
3.1 Fixed-Price Quotes
All quotes provided by us are fixed-price and include supply, custom manufacturing, professional installation, and full site clean-up unless otherwise stated in writing. There are no hidden costs or additional charges for standard residential and commercial installations.
3.2 Quote Validity
All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. After this period, we reserve the right to revise the quoted price to reflect any changes in material costs or other relevant factors.
3.3 Variations
If additional work is required that was not identified at the time of the original quote, for example, as a result of existing damage, non-standard wall profiles, or changes to the scope of work requested by you, we will notify you of any additional costs before proceeding. No variation work will be carried out without your written approval.

4. Acceptance of Quote
A quote is accepted when you:
- Confirm your acceptance verbally or in writing (including by email or SMS)
- Pay a deposit where one is required (see Section 5 – Payment)
By accepting a quote, you confirm that you have the authority to authorise the work at the relevant property and that you have read and agreed to these Terms.
5. Payment
5.1 Payment Terms
Payment terms are specified in your quote and may include:
- Full payment on completion of installation for standard residential jobs
- A deposit required prior to manufacturing for custom or commercial orders
- Progress payments for large commercial projects as agreed in writing
5.2 Payment Methods
We accept payment by cash, bank transfer, and credit card. Payment by credit card may attract a surcharge, this will be disclosed at the time of payment.
5.3 Late Payment
Invoices are due on the date specified. If payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to charge interest on the outstanding amount at a rate of 2% per month, and to withhold any warranty claims until the account is settled.
5.4 Ownership of Goods
Title to all shower screen glass and hardware supplied by us remains with us until full payment has been received.
6. Client Responsibilities
To ensure a successful installation, you are responsible for:
- Ensuring the installation area is clean, clear, and accessible on the day of installation
- Ensuring that all tiling, waterproofing, and substrate work has been completed and fully cured prior to the installation date, we recommend that shower screens are measured and installed after tiling is complete
- Ensuring that floor falls and drainage are correctly installed for open shower designs such as fixed panel and frameless walk-in screens
- Notifying us of any existing damage to walls, tiles, waterproofing, or adjacent fixtures prior to or at the time of measure
- Ensuring that a responsible adult aged 18 or over is present at the property at the agreed installation time
- For commercial projects, ensuring that any required building approvals, body corporate consents, or strata approvals have been obtained prior to installation
We are not responsible for any delays or additional costs arising from failure to meet these responsibilities.
7. Installation
7.1 On-Site Measure
We offer a free on-site measure prior to manufacturing your shower screen. We recommend that all tiling is complete before the measure takes place to ensure the most accurate fit. We are not responsible for screens that do not fit correctly if the measure was conducted prior to tiling completion and wall dimensions have subsequently changed.
7.2 Access
You must provide our installation team with safe and unobstructed access to the installation area. If our team is unable to access the site at the agreed time due to circumstances within your control, a call-out fee may apply.

8. Warranty
8.1 Rapid Showerscreens 2-Year Warranty
Rapid Showerscreens provides a 2-year warranty on both products and installation workmanship from the date of completion. This warranty covers:
- Defects in the glass, hardware, and materials we supply
- Defects in the installation workmanship carried out by our team
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, accidental impact, or normal wear and tear
- Damage caused by cleaning products that are not suitable for use on toughened safety glass
- Damage caused by building movement, subsidence, or structural changes to the property
- Corrosion or staining caused by contact with harsh chemicals
- Work carried out on the screens by a third party after our installation
- Third-party screens installed by us (workmanship warranty only applies)
8.2 Australian Consumer Law
Our warranty is in addition to, and does not limit or exclude, any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for a major failure with goods.
8.3 Warranty Claims
To make a warranty claim, contact us at sales@rapidshowerscreens.com.au or 0439 037 754 with your name, installation address, date of installation, and a description of the issue. We will respond within 5 business days and arrange an inspection where required.
9. Cancellations and Rescheduling
9.1 Cancellation by Client
You may cancel a confirmed installation booking at any time. The following conditions apply:
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled installation, no cancellation fee applies
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled installation, a cancellation fee of up to 20% of the quoted price may apply to cover scheduling and preparation costs
- Cancellations made after manufacturing has commenced, the cost of materials already manufactured will be payable
9.2 Rescheduling by Client
You may reschedule an installation booking with at least 48 hours’ notice at no charge. Rescheduling requests made within 48 hours of the scheduled installation may attract a rescheduling fee.
9.3 Cancellation by Us
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule an installation in the event of circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to severe weather, supplier delays, or team illness. We will notify you as soon as practicable and will reschedule at the earliest mutually convenient time. No cancellation fee applies where the cancellation is initiated by us.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law:
- Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with our services is limited to the total amount paid by you for the relevant service
- We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, special, or incidental loss or damage arising from the provision of our services, including loss of income, loss of profits, or loss of use
- We are not liable for any damage to adjacent tiles, walls, waterproofing, or fixtures that results from pre-existing conditions not disclosed to us at the time of the measure or installation
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred on you by the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement.
11. Australian Standards Compliance
All shower screens supplied and installed by us comply with:
- AS1288 — Glass in Buildings: Selection and Installation
- AS2208 — Safety Glazing Materials in Buildings
Compliance certificates and installation documentation can be provided on request for commercial projects and projects requiring council or body corporate approval.
12. Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises in connection with our services or these Terms, we ask that you contact us in the first instance to allow us the opportunity to resolve the matter:

We will acknowledge your dispute within 5 business days and aim to resolve it within 30 business days. If the dispute cannot be resolved directly, either party may refer the matter to the Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman or seek resolution through the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) or a court of competent jurisdiction.
13. Privacy
We collect and handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By engaging our services, you consent to our collection and use of your personal information as described in that policy.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website at rapidshowerscreens.com.au/terms-and-conditions/. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes that cannot be resolved by agreement will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
